How to Join

Download the CurseForge App from curseforge.com/download/app
Add Minecraft to CurseForge
At the top search bar, search for "All the Mons"
Click install on the listing titled: "All the Mons - ATMons | by ATMTeam"
- Optional: Click on this link and click "Install via app"
- Optional: Install Distant Horizons into your pack (can be done later)
Click "Play" on ATMons, log into Minecraft, and load the game
- Note: Loading may take a long time since it is a large modpack!
Go to Multiplayer → Add Server → enter mc.knoxolotl.com

Helpful Reminders

Do not update your pack manually! I will manually update the server and make announcements for major feature updates.
Set your CurseForge RAM allocation to at least 8GB
- Go to ATMons → click 3 dots next to Play → Profile Options → adjust Memory.
Use the ~ (tilde/grave accent) key to activate Vein Miner.
Pick a goal early on to avoid feeling aimeless or overwhelmed.

/sethome & /home — Set and return to your home
/back — Return to deathpoint or previous location
/rtp — Random teleport to explore new areas

/trashcan Opens a trashcan to delete items. Be careful, they cannot be recovered!
/checkspawn [rarity] See what pokemon are able to spawn around you.

How to update

Open curseforge and select the All the Mons pack (do not click play)
Click on the Versions tab
Find the relevant verion in the list (you can find the current server verion at the top of this page)
Select the download (install) button.

All the Mons Info and Tips

Most passive mobs have been replaced with Pokemon. Hostile mobs still spawn.
Pokemon you can use for gym battles are capped at level 15 to start. You can progress this by working on your trainer card.
During a battle, you can walk around and throw balls by pressing R.
Balls are scarce. So far, the most efficient method seems to be villager trading.

Balls are craftable, but take an involved Create, Oritech, or PneumaticCraft setup.

Heal your Pokemon at a gym or Pokecenter.

Once you can craft a healing station and a PC, throw it into a crafting table with a stick to get their portable variants!
Additionally, once you craft the Arc Phone you can add PC and healing upgrades to that.

Pokemon do not evolve automatically. You must open your menu and press Evolve.
Some held items are craftable. Don't forget to use JEI to check recipies!

FAQ

How do I claim chunks?

Open your inventory screen and click the map icon (FTB Chunks) in the top-left corner to bring up the world map.

Left-click tiles on the map to claim chunks for your claim area. Shift + Left-click claimed chunks to force-load them so your machinery/crops continue processing when you are offline.

How do I get more Cobblemon items (balls, potions, etc)?

You have a few options for this. Choose whichever seems more interesting to you.

Trade with cobblemon villagers.

The easiest way to do this is with Easy Villagers mod. Trade apricorns for coins, then trade apricorns and coins for balls/potions.

Use the pasture block and a Pokemon with the pickup ability

This is detailed in the first video below. Basically, use the pasture block and send out some pokemon with the pickup ability like zigzagoon. Place a chest next to the pasture block and it will fill up with Cobblemon items!

Build automation setups Create, Oritech, or PneumaticCraft to autocraft Pokeballs. Check JEI for details.
Find random loot (this is the least reliable)

How do I raise my level cap?

Raise your level cap by progressing through your trainer card. It is reccomended that you start with the BDSP line.

Open your quest book, go to Cobblemon -> Getting Started and progress until the "Evolution" quest. Make sure to read each quest! There's important info in there.

How do I trade/battle with other players?

Walk up to a player, look at them, and press whatever button sends out your pokemon. R by default.

This will open a wheel that will let you interact with the other player.

How do I catch legendaries?

Crafting the Pika Star is required before catching legendaries.

You must craft an unbound pika star, then craft it into a regional star using 4 crafted mega stones and 6 pokemon from that region. The star must be in your inventory for this.

Check the crafting recipie, but the bulk of the unbound star recipie is:

XL EXP Candies
All badges from the ATM Series (complete after the BDSP series)
A red and blue orb (get from the holo battle tower or speicifc Cataclysm bosses)
A Thunder TM
A special egg from a patrick staryu, a patrick star (crafted with create), and some misc items
Some tera shards
A starfruit (sold for cheap at the mall)
Various miscellaneous items that are relatively easy to get.
